August 12, 2005

Daddy met mommy for the first time. They went to Taco Mac with a group of friends and were inseperable after that day!

November 29, 2005

Daddy had a dream mommy was pregnant. Mommy also had a dream that same night. She dreamed I was already here and she was carrying me around in a little white blanket showing off her beautiful baby girl. Daddy dreamed mommy was about 6 or 7 months pregnant waddling around the house getting things ready for me to come home. Daddy says in the dream, my mommy looked so cute pregnant!

December 15, 2005

They finally started noticing me! Mommy was starting to get sick everyday. Daddy knew mommy's pregnancy cravings with my brothers were chinese food and cereal.
They were in Walmart buying groceries this particular night and mommy, after being sick all day, said she was craving chinese food and cereal. Daddy started teasing her, saying "you're pregnant". She just laughed it off....but guess what..?? :)

December 31, 2005 - New Years Eve!!

Daddy took mommy to Duluth Towne Greene to "look at Christmas lights" like she had been waiting to do all month. Before they left, mommy took a pregnancy test & saw a very faint pink line next to a very bright one. She thought then maybe she was pregnant after all! Her and my daddy both saw the 2 lines but since it was so faint, they still weren't sure so they decided to wait a few more days to take another one. They went on out as planned that night and daddy asked mommy to marry him...and she said YES!!

January 3, 2006

Mommy had a doctor's appointment this morning so she had to get up really early. She decided to go ahead and take the pregnancy test...it was positive! She went on to the doctor's appointment and found out I was 8 weeks old! When she got home daddy was already awake. She took him into the bedroom and showed him the pregnancy test. He looked at it, then looked at mommy with the biggest proudest daddy grin and said "So you're pregnant....(smile gets bigger) We get to be mommy and daddy!! We're gonna have a baby!!!"

January 15, 2006

Mommy's birthday!! Daddy got mommy a care bear cake, it was so cute! They would always talk about me just before they went to sleep at night. They knew I was a girl right from the start. They were talking about what names they liked and mommy asked daddy if he liked the name "Aaliyah"...he did :) Daddy laid in the bed next to mommy and put his face next to her tummy and would talk to me at night. He would tell me about what it would be like when I got here. He used to tell me about my brothers. And how between daddy being a police officer and 3 big brothers, I had no chance in the world of ever having a boyfriend,..thanks daddy! Him and mommy would get into play fights sometimes and when he would lose, he'd tell me to kick mommy in the bladder. Hee-hee, no way Da-Da!

February 23, 2006 - My angel date

This is the day I became an angel...the day my mommy's heart broke in two. The day she loved me enough to understand and set me free to fly away.

September 1, 2006

This is the day that would've been my birthday. On the day I should've been born, my mommy, aunt Pam & auntie Kat held a candle lit memorial for me at the Gwinnett Historic Courthouse in Lawrenceville. They were with mommy and played songs in my memory. The one mommy relates to the most and always makes her think of me is "Gone Away" by "The Offspring". They played it that night holding lit candles and going through all of my baby things.
